Thank God, and take courage,
Though rough is thy way,
Thy Master will give thee
Fresh strength for each day;
Though foes are around thee,
And danger alarms,
They cannot unfasten
The clasp of his arms.

Thank God, and take courage.
With Christ on our side;
We still will march onward.
With Jesus to guide.

Thank God and take courage,
There's much work to do,
But Jesus has promised
Our strength to renew;
Thank God, and take courage,
Each step of the way
Is cheered by his presence,
Our helper and stay.
